Summary:A video has emerged from Russia of a driver crashing into a curb during a brief high-speed police pursuit. In the footage, captured in Saratov, the driver can be seen ignoring a stopping point and speeding past a police officer. A high-speed pursuit then ensues, but is over almost before it begins when the driver loses control of the car and slams into a curb. Fortunately the driver – who was arrested on the scene – managed to escape serious injury. After further investigation, it emerged that the driver tried to evade the officers because he was intoxicated and did not possess a driving license
