Summary:Footage has emerged of an alleged poacher attacking police officers with a fishing gaff on the river in Saratov, Russia. The footage was captured during an early morning inspection by police. The officers approached the fisherman after he broke local fishing rules and he became angry when they began inspecting his boat. The man can be seen grabbing a fishing gaff - a pole with a sharp hook on the end that is used to spear large fish - and swinging it towards the police officers in a threatening manner. The fisherman was convicted of assaulting a police officer in the execution of his duty and sentenced to two years probation
